The first pieces I was allowed to hi-fire when I was apprenticing with Harry Holl were bud vases, because they were small & could fit anywhere in the kiln.
Porcelain, design drawn in pencil, then carved with fine-tip carving tools, glazed with a blue celadon, fired to cone 10
