1972 Stoneware 12 x 6

I made while studying with John Butler at the Tucson Art Center, 1972. 

One of my first jars; didn’t realize you should glaze the inside. The exterior glaze was created by  throwing rock salt into the salt-specific kiln at the end of the firing. Rutile stain produced the golden color.
